Full Mouth Restorative Dentistry Melbourne

The destination: a bite that works evenly, teeth that hold up to real meals, and a smile you stop thinking about. Full mouth rehabilitation gets you there through a single coordinated plan — not an endless run of one-off repairs.

The approach

Your mouth as a system, not 32 separate teeth.

Full mouth restorative dentistry — also called full mouth rehabilitation — stops treating each tooth as its own emergency. Rather than fixing failures one by one as they arrive, the finished result is designed at the outset: bite, smile line, tooth positions. Treatment is then sequenced backwards from that goal.

The plan itself may weave together implants, crowns, bridges and gum-health care, staged across months in a sequence that stacks up both clinically and financially. Teeth worth saving get saved; those beyond saving are replaced with implants. And when the bulk of an arch is on the way out, a full-arch All-on-4 approach can be the wiser route — we'll tell you plainly which situation is yours.

Every case is planned by Dr Hyun Soo Yu (MSc Implantology, FICOI) using CBCT 3D imaging and digital smile design — meaning you can see the end point before a single appointment of treatment starts.

Clues that piecemeal fixes have run their course

  • Flattened or chipping teeth — the fingerprint of grinding, erosion or a bite that has collapsed.
  • Fillings that keep fracturing, with the same few teeth failing again and again.
  • Several teeth missing or on the brink, reshaping how and what you're able to chew.
  • Dentistry from decades past — crowns, bridges and fillings all giving out around the same time.
  • An aching jaw, headaches or an uncomfortable bite that previous treatment never settled.
Stage by stage

Sequenced deliberately, never rushed.

01

Records of everything

CBCT 3D imaging, digital scans and photographs are gathered alongside a health review of each tooth, the gums and how your bite meets.

02

Blueprint and smile design

The finished outcome is modelled digitally, then divided into defined stages — each individually costed, so nothing about the plan is open-ended.

03

Groundwork before restoration

Gum treatment, any extractions and implant placement come first to set a stable foundation. Sedation and GA options available for surgical stages.

04

The rebuild

Stage by stage, crowns, bridges and implant teeth go in — assembling the bite exactly as the design intended.

05

Fine-tuning and defence

Final bite adjustments are made, and a night guard can be added where grinding threatens the new work.

06

A maintenance rhythm

Structured recall visits at either clinic keep the whole reconstruction sound year after year.

Funding the plan

Stage-by-stage quotes, approved as you go.

No two full-mouth cases cost the same, so cost follows the master plan — divided into per-stage quotes that you sign off one at a time. The staging naturally spreads the outlay across the course of treatment, and HICAPS claiming, interest-free plans and early release of super* for patients who qualify all remain on the table.

Payment plans

Interest-free instalments — humm & Zip

Divide treatment into affordable repayments; approved applicants may start with no deposit.

Health funds

HICAPS rebates while you wait

Private health claims go through instantly at either clinic, leaving only the gap for you to cover.

Superannuation

Drawing on super early*

For medically necessary treatment, eligible patients can apply to release super — and we assemble the supporting documentation.

*Eligibility rules and ATO approval apply. Your consultation includes a personalised, itemised quote before anything proceeds.

Worth knowing

Full mouth rehabilitation — the practical detail.

What sort of timeframe does a full rebuild involve?
Depending on complexity, anywhere between a few months and beyond a year — implants require their healing time, and the staging is intentionally unhurried. A realistic timeline is set out for you from the very first visit.
Must the whole plan happen in one go?
Not at all — staging exists precisely so it doesn't have to. Whatever is urgent gets stabilised first, then the rest moves forward at a pace your life and budget can carry.
Is this about function, or just appearance?
Function leads. The whole rehabilitation is engineered around an even, comfortable bite that chews the way it should — and when that's done well, the better appearance arrives with it.
And if saving most of my teeth isn't realistic?
You'll hear that from us directly, along with a frank comparison of the alternatives — All-on-4 full-arch implants among them, which can prove more predictable and more economical than heroic attempts to rescue failing teeth.
